In his short story about a Taoist funeral wake, Singaporean writer and arts organizer/ producer Daryl Qilin Yam explores the theme of the unknown. In his carefully designed teaching pack, he walks us through a consideration of funeral customs and the idea of death, later encouraging students to exercise creativity through experimenting with the text and writing fictional pieces.
